Currently sitting in the Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport in Rome, Italy right now en route back to Paris. Over the weekend I had to chance to travel along Italy's Amalfi coast. With stops in Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii, and the island of Capri, this is truly a trip I will never forget. The breathtaking beauty of the Italian coastline exceeded all my expectations.
Island of Capri
In addition to the warm sunny weather it was also nice to finally get the chance to wear my sundresses and sandals again. The style trends along the Amalfi coast are definitely laid back, flowy, and comfortable but with a glamorous twist. Light colors such as white and bright colors such as orange, blue, and green are definitely what is seen on most outfits. So don't be afraid to pack your bold maxi dresses, chunky statement jewelry, and big sunglasses. It was very different from the well tailored styles and neutral colors you'll see people wearing in the big cities of Italy, such as Rome.
Also don't forgot to throw a pair of flip flops in your bag if you plan on visiting Positano! The hot pebble beaches there are not the most comfortable to walk on with bare feet, trust me.
