For one of the classes I am taking right now I had an assignment requiring that I analyze street style. I decided to focus on women's street style so I took 30 photos of random women around the Les Halles area in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Located in the heart of the city, Les Halles, is an extremely busy area that attracts all types of people. If your looking for a good area to walk around, shop, and eat this is the place to be. There is so much to do, you could even spend an entire day just browsing the massive Forum des Halles mall.
After analyzing the photographs' I was able to draw a lot more similarities than differences between all 30 of them. No one seemed to really stick out from the crowd. Maybe when it comes to Parisian women's street style the goal is to fit in? Everyone seemed to stick to the same color scheme of dark neutrals with a sophisticated and chic style. Unlike the United States, I did not see any athletic wear. On my college campus back home I'm used to seeing Lululemon leggings, Nike's, and a sweatshirt on just about every woman!
This was the outfit that took most of a "fashion risk" out of all 30 photos I took:

Others looked, more or less, exactly like these two:
