While I worked towards my Master of Arts in Communication and Business Leadership, I had the unique opportunity to conduct independent research which I later presented to top executives at High Point University. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the inaugural class of this program and sought to find a way to benefit the legacy of the program as a whole. Here, I conducted data analysis on research regarding improvements and suggestions for the Communication and Business Leadership Masters Program at High Point University.
At the end of the fall semester, students brought the idea for a research project to Dr. McDermott, Dean of the Nido R. Qubein School of Communication and an outstanding professor. The goal was to collect students' perceptions of their first semester to assess and produce practical short- and long-term recommendations so the new CBL program could adjust to the needs of current and future students.
Through the research, these aspects have been recognized and analyzed while positive and sustainable recommendations have been outlined. I truly believe that these recommendations will aid in the longevity of this amazing program.
